Atop this classic storied pre-war structure are the rare penthouses with spectacular river and downtown views. However the long, narrow layout was dated and ill-suited for the single client. IFA minimized hallways, improved circulation and built more storage space. Placing a coffered ceiling in the living room raised the height to over 10’.  In addition to updating the small spaces (bathrooms and adding a laundry closet), the second bedroom became a personalized den and work space.
