The two key factors influencing any project are the user and the environment. The user brings to the project personal history, needs and dreams. The environment extends beyond the immediate site to the neighborhood, city and culture. In responding to both the user and the environment our goals are:

to find the best ways to facilitate the user’s daily activities (working, playing, shopping, learning, etc.) through spatial relationships
to use innovative and sustainable materials, anchoring the project in the present with an eye to the future
to use design to enhance the quality of daily life and increase economic value.

These goals inform our work on single-client buildings, such as homes, offices and stores, and on larger projects that impact the general population. Currently, we are focusing our efforts on developing multi-family housing projects as a way of applying our philosophy on an urban scale.
